Bermuda's Bacardi Par 3 Challenge at Fairmont Southampton

I'm heading to Bermuda, a British overseas territory, located in the North Atlantic Ocean, and it'll be my first visit to this island. I'll be staying at the Fairmont Southampton. Sure the beach time will be great, but I'm focused on the Bacardi Par 3 Challenge. Yep, it's all about golf for me this trip.

The Bacardi National Par-3 Championship, a two-day, 36-hole championship golf tournament to be played at The Fairmont Southampton March 26-27, 2011. A Pro-Am will be played on Friday, March 25 -- and I'll be the Am on this. The annual tournament, now in its second year, benefits Bermuda Red Cross.

Review Sandbaggers golf shoes for women

I love shoes. I hesitate to tell you how much, as evidenced by my dozens and dozens of pairs scattered throughout my walk-in closet. That's why I didn't hesitate when asked to review a new pair of Sandbaggers Golf Shoes and burned cyberspace to respond with a resounding yes!

As I waited for my complimentary shoes to arrive, I tallied the number of years I had worn my current pair of golf shoes (Nike), I am embarrassed to say more than 10 years. It was long past time to retire these trusty old pair of golf shoes. To be honest, until the last few years, lady golfers really haven't had a lot of colorful -- or comfortable -- choices; thus why I'd kept my old pair for so long.

Golf bucket list: St. Andrews, Scotland

Ask any golfer what course is on her bucket list and the answer will be: the Old Course in St. Andrews, Scotland -- or for that matter, ANY course in St. Andrews. When I was asked to cross the pond again and visit Scotland in September, there was no hesitation -- especially when the invitation included playing golf.

My golf home away from home was the Old Course Hotel & Spa this past fall, although I was unable to play the course because the Dunhill pro-am tournament was in progress.
